Multi-Emmy-award-winning SMPTE Fellow Mark Schubin has been working professionally in television technology since 1967 and writing about it since 1972. He currently serves as program maestro of the annual HPA Tech Retreat and as freelance engineer-in-charge of the Metropolitan Opera's global live cinemacasts. He has won SMPTE's Presidential Proclamation and the Marquis Who's Who in America Lifetime Achievement Award.
