Began my career working for ABC News in New York as a desk assistant back in 1991. Left land to live and and work aboard cruise ships for Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, where I was a video technician and videographer. After deciding to get married, I returned to land to work at local TV stations WSVN-TV as a field producer, then moving on to WTVJ-TV and WNBC-TV as Manager of News Operations. I took an 8-year break from NBCU and moved to Detroit, MI as Manager, News Operations, at the Graham Media Station WDIV-TV. In 2014, I returned to NBCU as Director, Network News Operations for NBC’s Telemundo Network, where I am presently, residing in Miami, FL at their company headquarters.
At Telemundo Network, I recently traveled to Eastern Europe to lead our war coverage. Some of the highlights of my career at Telemundo Network include living in Russia for 3 months to spearhead our coverage of the world cup, traveling frequently to Mexico for our coverage of government politics and current affairs. Other highlights include several trips to Cuba to spearhead our coverage of former Pres Obama’s visit to the island, and the death of Cuban leader Fidel Castro.
At Telemundo I oversee our field operations, coordinating the needs of a staff of photographers and field producers working from 6 domestic bureaus and international offices in Mexico City, MX. This coordination includes working with our partners inside the NBC News Group, to whom we frequently share and coordinate facilities, and overseeing our technical needs on the ground from cameras to transmission.
